The Introvert Sisters Podcast Wins Silver in the 2nd Annual Anthem Awards

Did not have winning an Anthem Award on my bingo card for this year, but here we are!

Ok, I’m having a slightly out of body experience: my sister Sharon and I have won a Silver Anthem Award for our podcast The Introvert Sisters!! 🥹🥹 🙌🏾🙌🏾🎉🎉 Woohoo!! 😄😄 Officially, we’ve been honored for Podcast or Audio, Awareness & Media, in the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion category.

What started out as a pandemic project about 3 years ago has morphed into A THING! We’re overjoyed that we’ve been able to lead conversations around what it means to be Black and introverted, and that our work is being internationally recognized.

Thanks to our listeners, guests, and everyone who has supported, assisted, amplified, and encouraged us along the way. Too many to list, but you know who you are. And of course, thanks to The Anthem Awards!!

It is our honor to be recognized this year alongside Rihanna’s Clara Lionel Foundation, Michelle Obama‘s When We All Vote, REI, Planned Parenthood Federation of America, March For Our Lives, OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network, Human Rights Watch, The Problem with Jon Stewart, Salesforce, Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, Ryan Reynolds, ACLU, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, and Archbishop Desmond Tutu’s Mission: Joy, Chobani, UNICEF, and other organizations and people advocating for change.

This year’s Special Achievement awardees include the likes of Billy Porter, Amanda Gorman, Gloria Steinem, Ben Cohen & Jerry Greenfield (Founders of Ben & Jerry’s), Hamdi Ulukaya, Abigail E. Disney, Quannah Chasinghorse, Oleksandra Matviichuk, and Gabrielle Giffords.
For me personally, being from the tiny island of Barbados, it’s hard to wrap my mind around this. I need a moment, lol.
Big tings a gwaan!! 😄😄🎉🎉
