27 powerful mantras to help you get grounded and stay aligned.
One of the best ways to improve your life is to have a consistent meditation practice. Getting your mind and energy right is one of the keys to achieving your goals more easily, and living the life of your dreams. A form of meditation that has served me well is chanting mantras. Here, I present the ones that have worked for me—and set the intention that they will work for you as well.
I discovered mantras several years ago when I was searching for a more effective way to meditate and manifest. As synchronicity would have it, I was led to the book Healing Mantras by Thomas Ashley-Farrand. I have since worn my first copy out, and bought another one. The book breaks down the history behind mantras, suggests ways to incorporate them into your daily practice, and, of course, provides a comprehensive list of mantras and their meanings. You can also find a multiplicity of mantras on YouTube.
Here are some of my favorites:
- BLISS: Ananda
- LOVE: Aham Prema
- PEACE: Om Shanti Om
- LUCK: Om Sharavana Bhavaya Namaha
- INSIGHT: Om Nama Shivaya
- SUCCESS: Om Eim Saraswatiyei Namaha
- TRANSFORMATION: Om Mani Padme Hum
- PROSPERITY: Om Sri Rama Jaya Rama Jaya Jaya Rama
- REMOVING OBSTACLES: Om Gum Ganapatayei Namaha
“I AM” AFFIRMATIONS
Believed to be two of the most powerful words in the English language, it is thought that any thought or statement that follows those words will come to pass. “I am” acts as a verbal master key to unlock your blessings and highest potential. The phrase “I am that I am.” connects you to Source and ignites your innate power. And who doesn’t need some extra power, especially on. Monday? To use “I am” affirmations, simply say (or write) “I am…” and insert the quality, state, feeling, characteristic, or mood that you want to embody and experience.
Some popular ones are:
- I am worthy
- I am grateful
- I am energized
- I am loving my life
- I am always in perfect health
- I am a magnet for Divine prosperity
- I am attracting only good into my life
- I am manifesting my unique purpose
- I am happier and healthier every day
Some people like to keep things simple and minimalist, so the focus words approach is perfect for them. Simply choose one or two words that resonate with you and repeat them as often as you can throughout your day. You can also write them on post-it notes and put them up around your home or office. (Of course, if you’re going to do this in your office, just pick one word, and place the post-it somewhere discreet.) If you’re ready to elevate your energy and upgrade your life, this is the perfect place to begin.
Start with these:
If this is your first time using mantras and affirmations, try picking one from each group, and practicing with them consistently for 7 days initially. For a few minutes each day, preferably both morning and evening, sit, focus, and repeat your mantras and affirmations. Pay attention to how you feel, how your life feels, and how your home feels while performing this practice. Notice any changes, manifestations, and synchronicities. After that, take a break (maybe 3 – 7 days off) to allow the energies to integrate. Then start the practice again, but this time do it for 14 days. Then 21 days. Then daily.
Namaste in alignment, y’all. Happy Monday!
